Well, I ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH HER! What's the main?? Not to carry on the problem in your mind and heart, just to take it easy. The main task is to calm down, to observe everything from the right proper angle. That's difficult.More often we like to worry and be nervous because of trifles. Unfortunately, then health costs much more expensively to us. The most important thing - to remember the golden rule: "There is no such problem which couldn't be solved"))
I agree with this woman and I think that to manage stress it is possibly to do such things. First of all think silently and deeply about the situation you are worry, then you can know what is holding your back from achieving that state of health and mood that you desire. Also to manage stress you may sit down with pen and paper, and try and work out yur problems that are holding you back. Be totally honest and it will help. And at the end I want to say that it is important not to think about what happened in the past, not to think about what might happen in the future. Think of your immidiate present concerns and everething will be OK!
The person constantly gets to stressful situations. Life is rich with surprises. And they aren't always pleasant. But whatever happens, it is important to keep internal and external calmness. Only in this case it is possible to keep advantage and to find only the right decision.
Every person knows what stress is it. And our aid is a balanced life, with time for work, relationships, relaxation, and fun etc. We can adapt to stress or avoid it, but at first we wust understand the problem. There are a lot of ways to relax and to calm down. For example: to read a good book, to listen to music, to watch a comedy or another kind film, to for a walk or to spend time in nature and many other ways.
Just remember that you can control your stress level and everything in your hands!
Of course I agree with every word that this woman says, and I think that almost every person can give the advices of the same kind. But the problem is that the theory and the practice are the rather different things. It is just my opinion, but to teach somebody how to react in the extreme situation is the same as to teach the theory of box without the real fight. If the really extreme situation comes you will hardly understand who are you and in this case only your skills of being in the same situation will help you. Of course a lot depends on the situation. In order to clarify my thoughts I want give the example: the human who used to see death during the war will react in the case of the unexpected death much more quietly in comparison with the person who is not used to see it. Of course I cannot say on behalf of all the humans, but in the majority of cases I think it will be in this way.
The first and the main thing I am going to say - I absolutely agree with the woman's suggestion of the mechanism of stress reduction. It is almost the only proper way to reduce stress and to behave in a proper way. However, I can't but agree with Andrew - with his words, that " the theory and the practice are the rather different things". I even think, that they are completely different! A person knowing how to manage stress reduction often will behave in the incorrect way. It is clear, that it is too hard for some people to reduce stress - and especcially in a really extreme situation. Some peolple simply are too nervous even in their everyday life - so they will hardly be able to cope with their stress in the extreme situation. Thus, the advices on this very topic seem to be the waste of words and time because they appear to be meaningless in the overwhelming majority of cases.
Of course, it’s better when you manage stress, instead of the situation when stress operates you. All depends on our attitude and reaction to a stressful situation. It’s important not to allow panic to grip you. I agree with Nadezhda, that “the first thing you should do in the stressful situation is to abstract”. Sometimes enough only to change your attitude toward circumstances and world around you also will change.
I forget my own advice)) First of all, it is necessary to calm down and relax. Is better to take a breath deeply and easy some times. Then you should to understand that unnecessary anxieties don't help to solve a problem. And by the way, from any problem there is a way out. It is just necessary to manage to find it.
doesn't matter how you try to manage stress reduction it's an auto-suggesting anyway. and here is the same with any kind of activity: skill comes with experience.
It is not so easy to give remedy to overcoming or avoiding stress. All you need to do is to know that there is no way you can avoid stress, you only learn how to handle it. In our daily life, we all need some level of stress to get things going, in fact a life without any stress must either be inactive or dead but when you go beyond this necessary level of stress then you need to be careful and do something about it. So, dear group mates, we need and we do have stress & tension during our session, typing reflections and surfing other blogs just to live comments, yeah? But nothing is so important as balanced schedule and sleep. We are experts in getting life-work balance, it’s up to us to learn to avoid stress. React calm, no action is also action. Everything will pass…it is transient as grass…
True, that's a life -long challenge. Easier said than done. It may seem that there’s nothing you can do about your stress level. The bills aren’t going to stop coming, there will never be more hours in the day for all your errands, and your career or family responsibilities will always be demanding. But you have a lot more control than you might think. In fact, the simple realization that you’re in control of your life is the foundation of stress management. Managing stress is all about taking charge: taking charge of your thoughts, your emotions, your schedule, your environment, and the way you deal with problems. The ultimate goal is a balanced life, with time for work, relationships, relaxation, and fun – plus the resilience to hold up under pressure and meet challenges head on. Since everyone has a unique response to stress, there is no “one size fits all” solution to managing it. No single method works for everyone or in every situation, so experiment with different techniques and strategies. Focus on what makes you feel calm and in control.
To know how to manage stress you should first define what causes that stress. Maybe you should make a list of such things, situations, events, people...and try to remove it from your life. For example, if you have stress at work constantly, start searching for a new job. But what if there is no possibility to remove things that cause stress in your life? Then strengthen the power of your mind and you will feel more inner peace. Consciously cultivate that peace through your thoughts and actions and you will discover the joy within you.
On the one hand it’s a very instructive video, the words of the author are truthful enough and there’s a lot of sense in them. Really, all fuss, connected with daily problems (trips on the bus, noisy crowd, crazy people round us, badly behaved children), senseless, there are problems much more important and much more serious. However there are people who perceive everything close to heart and for them it’s not enough to watch such video and to draw conclusions for themselves, simply stop to worry. It is very hard for such people to live and everything that seems nothing, for them is a big problem, they are very vulnerable and defenceless before stress.
Keeping your emotions bottled up usually leads to an emotional explosion later. It’s generally healthier to listen to your feelings, process them and try to understand them. Consider them ‘messengers’ that tell you when something is not right with your world. A great way to process emotions is journaling. When you write about your feelings, and potential solutions to your problems, you can reduce stress in your life and even see some health benefits.
I liked the video because the woman gives a very constructive advice that can help people avoid the stress. But there are also different methods of reducing stress. You can try making a stress list. Try keeping a diary over a few weeks or so, and list the times, places, and people that aggravate your stress levels. A pattern may emerge. Is it always the traffic on the way to work that sets things off to a bad start for the day? Perhaps it's the supermarket check-out, next door's dog, a work colleague, or something similar that may occur regularly and cause you stress.Once you have identified any typical or regular causes of stress, two things may then help:If you discuss this with a close friend or family member, it may help them and you to be aware of the reasons why you are feeling stressed. Simply talking it through may help. Secondly, these situations can be used as cues to relax. You can use simple relaxation techniques when a stressful situation occurs or is anticipated. For example, try doing neck stretching exercises when you are in that traffic jam rather than getting tense and stressed.
try to entertain youкself and don't make things go worth. think positive and don't complain to everybody. it is not easy but it is possible. and never (!) feel pity for yourself!
Stress surrounds us every day, and reduction of it is a very actual topic. I like video about stress reduction. Especially I paid attention to the Christine Breese’s opinion of human’s reaction on the stress. Sometimes problems seem to us much worse and much more terribly than they are actually. So we can not react on some facts simply and control our reaction. An other viewpoint is seriousness of our problems which cause a stress. I consider that if we can convince yourself that that all has happened id not a big deal and isn’t so personal you can overcome a problem without any effort. I agree with the women’s statement that all difficult tasks are just passing an experience. We shouldn’t worry about wasting of time if you do some work and do not succeed in this you receive a new portion of useful experience.
How to reduce stress! As to my own opinion, I think it is difficult and almost impossible to prevent a stress situation. Because there is a long chain of factors which causes a stress: hormonal infringements, an irregular food, sleep deficit, a lot of work and information all these factors lead to psychological overload. So sometimes the main cause of stress is a chronic weariness. The first step of overcoming of stress, as to me, is a change of conditions, It is necessary for you to go out of town, walk on the nature, listen to singing of birds, breathe a fresh air. The second step is relaxation with listening to quiet music. Talk to a person you trust the most. From his or her side your problem will be not so serious. In the process of conversation some excellent ideas can appear in your head. If you do not have such a person address to the expert - psychologist. Anyway all told by you will leave between you. One more way is making of problems’ list and to solving them in process of importance.
I think, that this woman is right. It is a great challenge for a person to stay calm in a stressful situation.I agree with her entirely on the point, that stressful situation is not permanent,it`s not going to last forever,a new day will come and will get a new view of the situation, maybe a more positive one. As people say "we spend most of our lifes worring about the problem that never existed".I always remember this saying in a stressful situation and it works mirracles for me.
At work I always try to keep to the following rule: I always reward myself for accomplishing things. I give myself a pat on the back and a little break instead of immediately rushing into the next task and creating more stress. As a rule it is a good idea to take small breaks during work. To cope with stress I usually allow myself 10 minutes to relax in my office: I close my eyes, strip my mind of work-related thoughts and visualize a pleasant landscape or vacation scene.
It is easy to stay calm when everything is OK; the main way to avoid stress is as follows: you shouldn't accept everything personally and seriously. Everything, what is going on around you couldn't be controlled, so you shouldn't think about it, the person could control his or her own attitude to situation, and this attitude can be easy and humorous, only in this way stress won't damage you anyway. To avoid stress you could also use special techniques: you can relax yourself, clean your mind and breathe deeply. That’s a kind of meditation will help you to cope with the problem. Auto training exercises are also good for stress avoiding, but they are not working, when you are deeply bound with emotions, nevertheless, they won't make any bad for you. When the stressful situation occurs to you, just say yourself: 'Everything is OK, I'm fine, I'm not angry I control my emotions and I'll cope with the trouble."
In some wy i agree with this video. It is correct. And it should be so. But, i know, sometimes you can't simply calm yourself and it is necessary for you to be uttered, to exhaust. In time of my school life i simply clenched teeth, turned away and calmed down.It is sick. Very painfully. And now i cannot simply supervise myself. There are tears and i shiver from overflowing emotions and i feel a shame for my condition. Therefore, i consider what sometimes better to give freedom for your emotions then to be able to take yourself in hands. For me first step of overcoming of stress, it is to go there where nobody is present. I sit down and think about my problem. Think about various ways of a solution of a problem. Anoher way, or probably some little helf to feel yourself better - it is music. When nobody could help you - music becomes your saviour. But in this case yu chould choose the right music? becouse it could have both good result and bad. But mainly, for me - music is the best way.
